22 Exist LT - The future of modern fishing reel construction technology!

The new Airdrive design paves the way for future reel development at DAIWA and offers smooth running and sensitivity as you would expect
never experienced before. By reducing the weight of the rotor, the spool and the bail arm, a lighter rotation without initial resistance is generated and thus optimal running smoothness is guaranteed.

The 22 Exist is the first fishing reel from the DAIWA program that is manufactured with the new Airdrive concept. The reduction in the weight of the rotor enables the rotor to stop faster and respond to different hauling speeds in addition to the lower effort required to start it.

With the new Airdrive coil, wall thicknesses and unnecessary weight have been reduced - in combination with the reduced rotor weight
and reduced bracket weight, the balance of the entire front unit of the reel is improved and offers better control when guiding the bait.
Unlike the inner workings of conventional spinning reels, DAIWA has a low-contact structure between the axle and the pinion gear
developed – the Airdrive Shaft.

By implementing this technology, frictional resistance is reduced and the silent, smooth running is optimized. The combination of these elements creates the new Airdrive concept and enables the construction of extremely light and sensitive spinning reels. The Airdrive bar is the next evolution in bar design and fits perfectly into the new Airdrive concept.

DAIWA has designed a slightly thinner bracket that still offers the required resilience and for additional weight reduction
front part of the fishing reel contributes. Compared to the 18 Exist, the weight of the new Airdrive bar is reduced by 33%. The Twist Buster technology reduces the risk of unwanted line tangles and line twist.

For the 22 Exist, the well-known Twist Buster II technology was improved in further details and the new Twist Buster III construction was developed. The new construction reduces the flattening of the line when winding it up and thus creates significantly less line twist. at
The 22 Exist also has a MagSealed line roller integrated to withstand the high stress, especially when used in salt water, over the long term.

The sizes 2500 to 4000 are equipped with a T-Shape handle knob, the small size 2000 has an I-Shape handle knob.
Size 5000 features a round aluminum handle knob.
